The Des-ign Association will be bringing Shashi Caan to the WSU Spokane Riverpoint Campus on Wednesday, September 14th to present “*Vision”. Shashi Caan will is the founding principal of “The Collective” and is currently the president of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers. She has been the chair of the Interior Design Department at Parsons, the New School of Design and the executive chair of the International Design Association. A Reception will begin at 3:30 followed by the Lecture at 4:15 in the Phase 1 Auditorium.

“*Vision is our ability to see a perceive – to have insight and foresignt. It is to be able to use our creativity and imagination, combined with a sense of responsibility, ethics and values, and to give shape to our hopes, dreams, and desires. It is to craft a world which we can enjoy and proudly leave behind. A world that is beutiful. One that is functionally better balanced and more refined than the one we inherit. This is the designer’s job – to design with vision is essential.
