2011 Mayor’s Urban Design Awards – Call for Entries
Entry submissions for the 2011 Mayor’s Urban Design Awards are due by noon on Monday, August 1st, 2011. The Mayor’s program began in 2007 and it recognizes Spokane City’s Comprehensive plan through good urban design and encourages creatively designed projects. Projects must have been completed between January 1st, 2005 and August 1st, 2011. Entries that make it pass the initial judging where they are compared to 15 qualities of urban design in Spokane will get recommended to the Mayor Mayr Verner for the chance of receiving a Mayor’s Choice Award and Urban Design Merit Award. All Entries will be on display in Riverpark Square from Monday, August 29th through Wednesday, September 21st and citizens will be able to vote for the People’s Choice award.
